We're on our way home now... About 150 miles north of Seattle.

We finished 2nd in our class, and 12th overall out of 24 entries.

Looking forward to being home!

Doug

This is a shout out to Bill and Doug from Jill in Alaska (though I don't know Doug other than through reading the blog!). Way to go! Sorry we couldn't make the trip to Whitehorse from Cantwell, but work has been WAY too busy to take the time to make the trip and still keep my sanity. I've done that journey in one day and I'll tell you, 900 miles in one day is not much fun! The thought of doing it twice back-to-back was more than I could really take on. It sounds like you guys had fun and did really well! Glad the weather was mild for you here - good thing you weren't here 2 weeks ago when it wasn't warmer than -40 for about 10 days. Yowzaa! You should come to AK this summer! You know the way now and it's not that far... Bill - Please pass my warm wishes to the Beers, Wenzl and Mason clans! Jill

Way to go Doug and Bill! Job well done. Doug - don't be too hard on Dan upon your return - he tried to do his best and take care of the RX-7...

You guys are a pleasure to rally with. I got a glimpse of what that truck could do on the Blackwater, when our little Europeen sedan couldn't lose you and the Dodge in the snowy twisties. You two were entertaining (in the best way), honest, eager, optimistic, and resilient. Renee and I will sign on for another 5k miles with you in a heartbeat.
